Apparently there are only 4 lizards in BC. 3 Species are native and I'm hoping this is one... I think Northern Alligator Lizard. If it is the invasive Eur. Wall Lizard, I should report the sighting. Looking at internet images, I still think alligator...

I am far from an expert but I believe it's a Northern Alligator Lizard as well.
When I was in Oregon one of these guys bit me because I was trying to pick him up. I have never seen one BC.

Hi Kev I don't think I have ever seen a lizard in BC. Where did you see this one? Nice picture.

Hi- These photos are of Northern Alligator Lizards living on our property. The first photo I took last year when I discovered an adult with three young living under my container garden. The last two were taken recently. I hope these will be of some help in identifying what you saw. Deb ps Thanks Len, your photobucket system worked!

Thanks for the confirmation, guys! Bundy: I'll keep my distance. thanks for the warning. Len: Ranger Station Art Gallery (beside the Yacht Club in Harrison). South-side of the building. I've also seen them in the front garden bed on the big horizontal log. Deb: Too cool! That first photo looks like same colouring as this one. I haven't seen any young in Harrison... but this is the 4th time I've seen one at the Gallery in the last 3 years (first time with camera).
