hello birders there has been an american kestrel perched on the wires for the past week on chilliwack central road between broadway ave and prest rd. it usually is between the bridge and prest rd though; right across from the weedy field where the short-eared owls and barn owl were seen a couple of weeks ago. also of note was a townsend's solitaire at tapadera estates on sunday during the bald eagle festival. good birding, jason chilliwack

jason - where was the Townsend's Solitaire at Tapadera? I have seen them here before but hadn't this year. Knew a Red Breasted Nuthatch had been seen at the boat launch but hadn't heard about the Solitaire. Maybe now the Eaglefestival is over I'll have time to actually look for birds!
