I heard and then spotted a Great Horned Owl off the Loop Trail at Cheam Wetlands this afternoon around dusk. Other than that, the usual birds were present. Notable were the large number of Trumpeter Swans (30+) and the highly vocal Marsh Wrens (I spotted 4, but there were more.) I also had many beautiful looks at Hooded Mergansers in the sun.
A good hour, but it sure got cold quick once the sun went down!
