hello birders
yesterday(tuesday) afternoon while i was driving home from work along chilliwack central rd., i looked north over the grassy, weedy field and saw two short-eared owls flying fairly high. they looked more to be interacting, than hunting at that time. this is at the same place that i saw the barn owl the day before. this field can be a very birdy place but it is on a busy road. if you want to view these fields i recommend pulling over on the east side of the small bridge where there is a small pull out. it can be a great place this time of year for waterfowl when the fields are flooded and one of the best spots in the spring for a variety of shorebirds.
