Around 4:00 this afternoon I spotted the bobcat right at the entrance sign to Cheam Wetlands. I stopped the truck hoping for a picture but before I could get out he (she) sauntered across the road to the south side and proceeded to stalk a pair of Canada Geese feeding in the pasture. I felt it was pointless to even try walking over to where I saw it go into the blackberry bushes but grabbed the camera and walked over there anyway. To my surprise it was now standing about 50 feet from me and was far more interested in the geese than me. It was difficult getting a clear shot but I did manage to get several anyway. At one point it was enjoying the afternoon sun to such an extent it yawned and started closing it's eyes. What a beauty!

Wow, very nice pictures. Amazing that he stood still long enough for you to take a few pictures.

Thanks all for the kind words. But as you all know, timing is everything. Being in the right place at the right time, and having a very cooperative subject. This cat just didn't consider me to be a threat.
