This morning around 7:00 a.m. my daughter looked out in her field beside the barn and there was a Bobcat. Most mornings it's a Coyote or two. Late summer during the corn season were up to 3 different Black Bears. This is not to mention the resident Racoon's, the occasional Barred, Pygmy, Barn and Great Horned Owls. In the slough behind the house there is almost always a flock of Mallards and a couple of Wood Ducks. All of these would be interesting enough if they were located way back and off the beaten track, but I'm talking about a property that is within a 20 minute walk of downtown Agassiz. As a former lower mainlander I'm finding this all very enjoyable!

Lock up the chickens!! Bobcats are beautiful creatures and very typical cats. They only let you see them when they want you to and when you are least expecting it (so usually no camera!). Our cat (indoor!) is like that. Cuddles on his schedule and only when you are about to get up out of your chair.
