A couple of days ago, I noticed a seal on the log breakwater along the yacht club in Harrison. Took my scope today and counted 23. They were various sizes and colourings.

That's crazy I never knew seals would be in Harrison Lake.

Someone told me they're Harbour Seals that have come up the Fraser. Last Fall, a pup was left on the beach, to much consern, but the Wildlife folks said the moms do this when they feed. In the wee hours I'm sure it looked like a nice quiet beach... In the day time it's Rendall Park! Wildlife said if no one touched it, and the dogs stayed away, mom would pick it up later that night. It was gone in the morning, so hopefully it all worked out.

Ive seen them as far as Yale Creek (in Yale) in the Fraser and up near Tamihi Bridge in the Chilliwack River. They sure travel following the salmon.
Great story Wetlander! Im sure the outcome was good as I dont think a pup will go anywhere until the mom comes for it.
Great picture of all those guys there too. Ive never seen that many in the lake itself, just in the Harrison River.
