Short-eared owl March 13 near Page Road - flew overhead and then seen hunting in the fields… too far away for a picture and fun to see.

I don't think Northern Shoveler has been added yet. Saw 4 at Willband today.

I awoke to a surprise Saw-whet owl calling at my place today, which was a new yard bird.
Can also add barred owl, which I heard calling at Fishtrap this afternoon while biking with my family.

Excellent additions, all. We're doing great on owls this month. I've also added Screech and Great Horned Owl.
Jason, Pine Grosbeak excellent. Thinking of the finches, Red Crossbill and Purple Finch still needed.
I also added Northern Shrike

Can add Ruffed Grouse and Purple Finch from East Sector Park. Of note, the main Beaver Loop trail is closed so I only walked the Spirit Loop Trail.

Hiked Elk Mountain today with some non-birder friends. It was snowing near the top. I can add Canada Jay right at the top of the summit. Also of note, I had two hooting Sooty Grouse.
If anyone is interested, before the false summit, microspikes are needed due to ice and compact snow.
