During lunch, stopped at Sardis Pond. Very few gulls were there during the time I was there.
However, throughout the day in my travels, there were LOTS of gulls in the fields and circling overhead. It has to be in there somewhere. Im certain a good solid effort will turn it up but it might take a good part of a day scoping the fields and then looking again (and again). They're always on the move from Bald Eagles going after them or going from feeding fields to loafing fields. Also, you dont know if you've overlooked it as it stood behind a bigger gull or was napping behind a tuft of grass. One can go a little nuts thinking about all the variables so I always just go for it and let happen what happens.
Salish Pond was quiet, but that Glaucous Gull is still there. It went by my office window several times during the day again in the stiff breeze. Cool! ;D

During lunch had a look around in East Chilliwack. There were several thousand gulls in the area. Many near enough the road to look at them. Nothing very exciting among them from a rarity perspective.
