Got to watch a Green Heron at the GBH reserve this morning for a while. Fantastic! Good spotting, they're surprisingly small and sure can blend in. Randy, great yard bird that Cassin's Vireo. I'm adding this young Herring Gull from the 6th that flew past at Island 22 _0231210 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Also added: Long-billed Dowitcher (Island 22, East Chilliwack) Caspian Tern (Harrison Lake, Island 22) Fox Sparrow (Yard, first of the fall), Common Tern and White-winged Scoter (Harrison Lake), Grey Catbird (Cheam Lake, Tuytten's) Brewer's Sparrow (Island 22 and Tuytten's) Clay-coloured Sparrow (Harrison Lake) and a few more common ones.

From earlier in the month, Brewer's and Red-winged Blackbird, Bushtit, Eastern Kingbird, Pied-billed Grebe, and Common Merganser

I had a Western Grebe and Lesser Scaup at Jesperson Rd also, bank swallow earlier at is22 bittern from willband and Varied Thrush at Jesperson Mourning dove from agassis

Excellent additions thanks Bentley and Jon. Nice find of first scaup of the Fall Jon.
