The hike can be pretty tricky and steep. Fair bit of bush wacking in the the first bit. Couple log bridges that need to be crossed, but alternative routes are available. Once you get to the lake the trail turns into a road which you have to second and third lookouts. Similar to Flatiron in the way it is much trickier for a km or so than the rest of the trail. Good habitat for things like Evening Grosbeaks, Sooty Grouse, and Pygmy-Owls.

I did that one last year but it wasn't bushwacky then, until going up mt Aggasis (as there is no trail to the peak but you just follow the flagging tape and go upwards).

It's wasn't horrible but definitely more than zero.

Nice Western Sandpiper! Harrison can be good for shorebirds. The migrating waterfowl should be making their way through now on the lake.
Added Long-billed Dowitcher, Peregrine Falcon, and Pied-billed Grebe from Cheam Wetlands. The dowitchers was a nice surprise. Only the 2nd time I have had the species at Cheam.

Great sighting for August! Tough to get when they aren't doing their 'Chebek' calls.
Also added Red-necked Grebe which I had on Harrison Lake.

Thanks, Bentley for the sightings. I also added a few recent sightings.
Quieter month but tough with the heat and smoke.

Thanks for the additions. Pretty good tally for the month considering the smoke and heat.
September will be a fun birding month.
