Larry and I went to go try for the Rock sandpiper that was along the south jetty at Iona, this past Friday. After much scanning, and the Dunlin flock taking flight and returning, there it was . Rock sandpiper by Joel Schmidt, on Flickr We were glad to have found it when we did, as its group of friends moved around often after awhile. ebird.org/checklist/S125581836Reifel produced a male Ring-necked pheasant, and we had a great time hand-feeding the BC chickadees, RW blackbirds, and Sandhill cranes. ebird.org/canada/checklist/S125580526

Great photo Joel. Must have taken some decent effort scanning through the Dunlin.
