First stop this morning was the Heron Reserve. The usual species were seen along with four White-throated Sparrows. I saw them just east of the building along the path to the dyke. Luckily, I saw them at the same time as two were on the left and two were on the right side of the path. Also got great views of a Beaver taking a branch into the water. I think I spooked him!
Next, I did a walk along Peach Creek trail. It was fairly quiet but did hear a Dipper in the Vedder River. Later on in the day, I made a stop at Cheam Wetlands. A significant majority of the lake is frozen. Along the loop trail I thought I heard a Goldfinch but only heard it once so couldn't confirm.
After being stuck inside all week it was great to get some exercise and see some wildlife.
