Point Roberts was next. I was there last weekend and it was active with birds and I also saw a Humpback Whale.
Some Ancient Murrelets has been seen yesterday so I was keeping a sharp eye open. There were a few flocks of Alcids flying ways out but couldn't ID them even with a scope. They were either Marbled or Ancient I'm thinking. I lucked out and four were flying and stopped relatively close and I could then positively ID them as Ancient. Only seen this species one other time. Other highlights included Harlequin Duck, Long-tailed Duck, Black Scoter, and a WT Sparrow. There were also 3 seals and around 6 Porpoises.
A quick stop at Boundary Bay produced two Short-eared Owls.
