Just had a stroll around Jackman Wetlands this morning. The ponds are drying up, which seems to be affecting which birds are around. Lots of exposed mud at the pond by the excavating school. I spent most of my time there, trying to figure out which shorebirds I was looking at. In the end I counted 20+ Killdeer, 1 Long-billed Dowitcher, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, and 2 Pectoral Sandpiper (I think!). Some pipits flew into the mix as well.
A couple of days before I had Snipe and what looked like a Solitary Sandpiper.
