My wife wanted to go biking on Saturday so I suggested the Iona Jetty (no bias) after Terri inspired me with the longspur picture from last week. At about the 3km marker we found the Lapland Longspur. At the end of the Jetty, we found a Parasitic Jaeger among all the Bonaparte's Gulls. Back at thevery quiet ponds, a Pectoral Sandpiper was the best bird to be found. Dave

So glad you got to see the Lapland Longspur, Dave! That's a very pretty shot of it and of the sandpiper, too...great pose. Terri
