Did a trip to the Oregon Coast for just under two weeks. I have been here many times as a kid. The last time I went was in 2019. Spent the majority of the time in the northern portion of the coast. Tallied 91 species and one lifer with Parasitic Jaeger. I saw another few Jaeger species but couldn’t ID them. I did see species I have rarely seen such as Wrentit, Tattler, Snowy Plover, and Surfbird. The tattlers and Wrentits were difficult to try and get photos of. The weather was fairly good but there was fog on about half the days. There's a breeding program for Snowy Plovers on the coast. Snowy Plover at Nehalem Bay SPSaw a decent amount of Whimbrel on the trip. Whimbrel at Nehalem Bay SPCape Disappointment was a highlight. It's on the north side of the mouth of the Columbia River. In 2019, I enjoyed visiting Fort Stevens and walking along the beach but the one section was closed due to the fixing of the jetty. Caspian Tern at Cape Disappointment SP Heermann's Gull at Cape Disappointment SP Saw a lot of Brown Pelicans and a few White Pelicans. I enjoyed seeing 33 Great Egrets in a bay. Brown Pelican at Netarts Bay Great Egret at Netarts Bay Here's the eBird trip report for detailed info. ebird.org/tripreport/70889Also, saw 4 Porpoises, tons of seals, a few Sea Lions, and 6 Whales.

Wow 33 Great Egrets. That's quite the sight. Thanks for sharing I'd enjoy a visit there one day.
