My wife had a conference in Whistler at the end of May so I tagged along with my 4 and 8 year old girls. One day we took the gondola up and rode the Peak 2 Peak. At the top of the Whistler Mountain gondola were 7 horned larks on the ground. I also spotted two rosy-finches on the ground: Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch at Whistler Mountain by Randy WalkerThis is only the second time I have seen this species. Unfortunately I only had my 18-140 mm lens since it was a family (and not a birding) excursion On the Blackcomb side I had two Canada Jays. I hadn't seen this species since an excursion to Manning with Chris in 2013.
