Hi all, Not much to report for the Alberta Wilderness camp from our church youth groups in the way of birds. From Saturday to Monday we were in Fort Macleod-Monarch area, a couple hours from Lethbridge. From Monday night to Thursday we were in the foothills of the Rockies. We did hiking, horseback riding, and rock climbing--a lot of fun! I did manage to see Mountain bluebirds flying around on the hike I went on, as well as a wolf! We also saw a couple black bears driving back home on Highway 1. Here's a shot of a western meadowlark, and a definitely hybrid flicker--all the ones I saw were like this one! Very beautiful! I'm also posting a picture of a sparrow that I'm not sure of the I.D. in the identification section. Chau. --Jeff
