Cool photos! Would this be considered an intermediate juvenile?

I saw the one young bird this afternoon (5.30), perched on the East side of Gibson this time

I saw one sitting on the ground from the highway this evening near Gibson. From the overpass north of the highway I could see it in the cranberry field. Seems healthy but I suspect it’s the same bird that favoured the post nearest the road back when there were all the hawks about.

We saw it from the highway yesterday in the cranberry field. Here's a photo from Friday. I think it's the same one Raymond photographed earlier in the month? _0223088 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr

Saw it a couple times yesterday from the highway. In the afternoon, it was running quite quickly after something. It looks robust enough? Maybe just a young bird who maybe is going to sit this breeding season out a bit further south than usual summer haunts. Probably wouldn't have nested regardless given the age.
