It's a day off for me today so I popped out for a walk around my property during a break in the rain. It was really quite windy so there was not a lot of activity overall and it was hard to hear birdsong. However, I found a couple good pockets of migrants. Highlights were:
5 species of warblers: Yellow-rumped Yellow (FOY) Orange-crowned Wilson's (many of these) Townsend's (FOY)
I also interestingly had 2 FOY Western Tanagers on my feeder this morning. I've never seen one on my feeder before.
I also had a couple FOY warbling vireos.
I'm surprised by the number of siskins still hanging around. I also had one lingering RC kinglet.
