I forgot to mention in my Alberta Trip report that the white, Red-Necked Grebe is back at Tunkwa Lake. We didn't see her ourselves, but the park operators told us she is back, but without her mate. We first spotted her in 2002 and she has been back, with a normal colored mate and nested in the same spot every year since. The operators said she has been seen in the same area as she used to nest but not as often now that she is on her own.
