Larry and I tried for the recently-reported Northern goshawk at Reifel this past Tuesday, but no luck. We did, however, get some Common redpolls and a fly-by Tundra swan. Both were Metro Vancouver birds for us. After walking from 104th Street to 96th at Boundary Bay, we were just about to call it a day when Larry spotted the Northern mockingbird we had been hoping to see . The bird was foraging on a manure pile in a farmer's field, then flew across the dyke to some brambles: Northern mockingbird by Joel Schmidt, on Flickr
