Sorry it's been quite awhile since I posted anything. I finally managed to download the photos from my camera from the start of December.
At the start of December I had a white-throated sparrow of the white-striped variety:

Juncos are far and away the most numerous bird around my place:

In mid-December there were a couple Hooded Merganser's on the pond. Certainly one of my favourite species!

On Christmas eve this female Anna's Hummingbird was chilling on a branch:

I also had 3 redpolls fly over on Christmas eve.
My resident Bald Eagles that built a nest here last year for the first time seem to be doing renos. I'm hoping they're successful again this year!

Last weekend I was surprised to have a Common Goldeneye on the pond. This is a new yard species for me (#121).

Overall I finished 2021 with 86 species at my place. My record is 98 but that was due to the Covid shutdown and I could get out almost every day for 2 months during spring migration. My winter (Dec-Feb) list is currently sitting at 42 species.
