Hi What a winter. With the temperature dropping, we find that, even with the warming light, the hummingbird syrup begins to freeze. We bring the feeder in at night to warm but this morning the temperature is minus 7 and dropping. Last year we found that covering the bottle with an old wool sock with a strategic hole in the heel works well. I think the modern phrase is "repurposing".
