A couple of weeks ago I went to Manning Park just to look around as I hadn't been there in a while. I couldn't believe the amount of people that were there, we didn't even attempt to stop at lightning lakes it was so crowded. We made a couple of trips up to the meadows and both times interacted with the Jays. It was there I also encountered a very compliant grouse. (I posted the picture earlier) I went specifically to get some flight shots of the Jays. I just missed a great opportunity as I stepped out of the Jeep and a female Sharpy or male Cooper's attempted to take a Clark's Nutcracker. The Nutcracker came away unscathed. Saw plenty of grouse, Canada Jays, Stellers Jays, Merlin, Sharpy, Cooper's, Red tail, Ravens and even a Northern Harrier way up at the meadows. Also a couple of chipmunks and even a Pika on the roadside going up to the meadows.
