Dian and I searched in vain for the Brown pelican at Harrison but we did find the following. We bumped into a young lady named Leslie who told us about a bunch of birds on the lagoon dyke. Thanks Leslie, we found them all.. American Dipper White-throated Sparrow. Difficult to say but at least 4 of them. Savannah Sparrow Lapland Longspur. I think I counted 6. Greater White-fronted Geese with Snow Geese. As Nick said, they were really tame.

Super pictures Len. When I was there the geese were on the dyke trail unfazed by humans, that was until a unleased dog chased them. They seemed to very hungry, too bad they were disturbed.

Some great sightings Len. Harrison has been very active and producing some uncommon birds for the valley recently.

I was there on the 8th in the afternoon and the small group of Snow Geese were still around with the two Greater White-Fronted Geese. Also got a shot of a Horned Lark. No dippers or pelican though.. Geese by Neal, on Flickr Horned Lark by Neal, on Flickr
