John Gordon found a Brown Pelican on the lake. Visible from the breakwater or the lagoon. At the moment it’s in the marina. I was fortunate to be near and was able to see it! Good chance it will be here if others want to try. It has flown a couple times but has come back. Crazy bird! Thanks, John!

Sounds like it has left already. It was quite flighty so no surprise. I can’t imagine it can find that much to eat up here unless it follows the eagle’s and gull’s lead and eats some of the thousands of dead pinks. Big beak like that could almost get a small pink salmon down

I saw it this afternoon just as I arrived, it was flying out from the boat launch. Flew out near the breakwater and landed. A real surprise sighting, had not seen Gord's post just decided to go somewhere started driving and made the right choice for the day.
It may be gone I watched it circle and climb for about 15 minutes, until it was not visible anymore.

I went after work and I was about twenty minutes late. I did enjoy seeing four Snow Geese and Two White-fronted Geese. Excellent views!
It was great to meet John Gordon and also to see Jamie. Ken, I think I bumped into you as you were leaving. Sorry, I should have introduced myself, oversight on my part.
Excellent bird for the valley.

I really would like to say the Brown Pelican was still there this morning but I could not locate it. There was the two Greater White-front Geese and now 5 Snow Geese who were feeding on the grass along the outer lagoon. They were so placid, were not upset at all when I walked past about a meter away. Later they objected to a very tiny dog and flew down to the water and circled back. Nice to run into Ed and hear about what he saw on his trip to the prairies.
