On August 9th while birding at Cheam Wetlands my wife and I spotted from the parking lot lookout platform a bird wading in the water. We took pictures and once home identified it as an immature Red-necked Pharalope. It stayed for about ten minutes then took off. We also photographed a Solitary Sandpiper on the back lake of the loop trail. The next day we were back(in hope of photographing the Black Phoebe) but neither was sighted.

Hi Miguel, thanks for the posting. The Phalarope is a great sighting, I think that would be the first for the park.
