Mt Breier is a remote peak 4K northeast of the head of Stave Lake. near the divide between Chehalis and Stave Lakes. A heinous and strenuous bushwack. Mine was the 3rd accent I know of.

Nothing like Ed’s bushwhacking adventure but my sons and I enjoyed Cheam Peak this morning where a Golden Eagle hanging out at the peak reduced our ptarmigan chances. Highlights include Many Sooty Grouse including young, several Rosy-finches at the summit feeding young, pipit families, a lone Black Swift high altitude, several Fox Sparrow of the slate-coloured subspecies, a mix of warbs, juncos, chickadees, etc. And an impatient but still sober Olive-sided Flycatcher calling near Spoon Lake. 20 species was not too bad for the time of year.
