I had a little dental surgery yesterday in Abby, so I used it as an excuse to slip the travel ban (hope resident).
I slipped into Willband, just as I crossed the bridge in the SW corner I found a pair of Gadwals under the bridge, as I was viewing them something made me turn quickly. I thought it was a pair of crows flying out of the rushes? As I recovered from looking into the sun I realised it was Green Herons, I had them in my binos before they crossed the walking path. They flew over the brush crossed the SW pond and then dropped straight down into the brush one on top of the other.
A lifer for me and not because of my lack of record keeping in the past.

Ken, nice find congrats on the new bird. Hope it helped take a bit of the ouch off from your dental visit.
