A trip to Cheam Lake Wetlands this morning netted 41 species. No swans, so I suppose they've headed north. There were 3 Cinnamon Teal which are the first I've seen this year. Also a first was a Sora. Some Red Crossbill were a nice surprise. I noticed a while back that what looks like another lookout is being added between the one at the parking lot and the island. Jon, that lookout is actually a nesting beach for Western Painted Turtle.
Nice list btw.

Interesting! I saw a turtle laying eggs back on August 5th. That was up by the picnic tables though.
Is that normal? (date & location)
