This morning on Prest Road just north of Prairie Central were three Cedar Waxwings in a berry bush. I was expecting Bohemian Waxwings until I got a closer look. 019_2517 by Gord G, on Flickr 019_2516 by Gord G, on Flickr That afternoon on Annis Road, also near Prairie Central Road, were three Turkey Vultures cruising low over the fields. It looked like they may have sniffed something out as they all went down behind a barn. I don't think I've ever seen more than two at once during the winter and even that has been once or twice. Usually any winter sightings are of lone birds. 019_2535 by Gord G, on Flickr
