Along the Rotary Trail at the Lickman Rd parking lot was a young Glaucous Gull among 200 or so Glaucous-winged Gulls eating all the dead salmon. It stuck out, being the only big and pale gull there. I wish I had my camera, it was really close and would've been for a great picture. This was my first sighting of one in 7 years surprisingly (https://bcbirding.proboards.com/thread/6540/glaucous-gull-16-2013)
A wonderful high-quality phone picture.
A couple of kilometers down, near the train tracks bridge, was an Orange-crowned Warbler in the blackberry bushes. I heard it first and then it poked out a few times. A good bird for this time of year.

While biking as a family the Rotary Trail loop from Keith Wilson Bridge to the Vedder Bridge, we notice Jaime’s Glaucous Gull has now found an identical twin as well as 5 American Dippers scattered along the river, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, and some photogenic Bald Eagles. I pulled a Jaime move and only had my cel phone along but did get the identical twins in the same frame.

Today afternoon I checked Veder River just west of the Lickman Road parking area and soon found 2 Glaucous Gull. One threw me off for a bit because it had a blood red bill with a black tip! I soon figured it out as it was gorging itself on a dead salmon. John Vooys, Abbotsford

Found a third Glaucous Gull on the Chilliwack River above the Vedder Bridge. We drove directly from there to the Rotary-Lickman location where we saw the other 2 GLGU in their usual area. One is also seen in the Banford Rd area, so it’s possible there are 4 in the area.

Ed good find on the third. I agree a fourth is highly possible. We saw one at the usual spot on Lickman yesterday afternoon.
