This morning I took part in the Chilliwack River Clean Up for B.C. River's Day. A great initiative and I would hate to see what that corridor would look like without this group of caring volunteers who have removed tonnes of garbage over the years. One stretch I clean annually, coincidentally, usually has a few birds about. Today I was treated to a Swamp Sparrow. A few years ago I found one at this exact spot; also on River's Day. This is at a little marshy bit about 1km up from the Tamihi Bridge.
