-Northern saw-whet owl (heard very clearly before dawn near the trailhead. This is a new bird for my Fraser Valley list)

We have a few days left and the weather looks pretty nice so we might add a few yet.

Bruce and Joanne, thanks for the good additions. Tree Swallow is not necessarily easy for September. The Red-eyed Vireo left Island 22 early this year it seems. I usually see some into the first week of the month. Good record for the Mourning Doves. Mike, good catch on the Band-tails. Jon thanks for filling some holes as well. 140 species for the month but there might be a couple in my note book. But it's in the car and I'm sitting here so...tomorrow. Time for October! Jamie October can be a fun month as well especially when we have such nice weather like we did this week. |
