Interesting. I just recently noticed that NW crow has disappeared from eBird lists. Not for me. eBird uses the Clements checklist which isn't being updated this year (so I think NW crow will be on eBird for a while, but maybe Gord will change the filters for the FV). The AOS (American Ornithological Society) has lumped the them on it's checklist.

Hi Gord Very interesting about the Crow. When I was a youngster in Pitt Meadows, in the 1960's, my friend Ben Van D. had a pet crow. Ben's father found it as a lost chick out of the nest during his work on Vancouver Island. He brought the chick home to Pitt Meadows and it bonded with Ben. It followed Ben everywhere and would even talk to Ben and road on Ben's shoulder. The crow was noticeably smaller than the local Fraser Valley Crows. We believed at the time, that the crows living on Vancouver Island were a smaller subspecies of the Fraser Valley crows. Our Boy Scout patrol was called the 'Crow Patrol' and Ben's crow was our mascot. It even came on some of our camping trips.
