Jamie and I took a run up to Hope Airport this morning. At the east end there were two singing catbirds. One was incorporating a meadowlark’s song into its own song. It is always interesting to listen to them sing.
These guys have been here since late May.
The Western Kingbirds were nesting again at the weather station.

There are now three of them. Two singing at the east end as usual but I also heard one singing north of the airport just west of the industrial buildings.

Saw 2 on the east side this morning. Thought there might have even been three there. The mosquitoes were *way* too friendly, so I didn't hang around
