I scored a 3. I won't tell which though I also had to google 'Stringer' as I've never heard the term. Image1 by Gord G, on Flickr

Nice post Gord! 8 for me. I need to up my game . I wish I could subtract a point for every time I've glared at an outdoor cat!

Hi Gord Love the Humour. I got 6/20 but to show my ignorance, what do these two mean? 11. "Dipped on a Twitch" and 17. "Complained about Stringers".
Thanks

Hi Gord Love the Humour. I got 6/20 but to show my ignorance, what do these two mean? 11. "Dipped on a Twitch" and 17. "Complained about Stringers". Thanks To dip is to miss. I believe twitching is when you go on a long(er) trip to find a specific bird (usually a rarity). So 11 means that you went out to look for a rarity, but didn't get it. (In my understanding) A stringer is someone who makes up sightings.

Thank you for the meanings of phrases 11 and 17. I was so mistaken. I thought that "Dipped on a Twitch" was to fall into the water while watching birds and loosing your footing. I also thought that "Complained about Stringers" meant that you complained that one of your companions on a birding trip (the stringer) complained saying "Are we really going to look for another bird or what". That actually happened to us on a birding trip.
