The first couple weeks of June can still be good for late migrants as well as often surprise species seem to often show up around then as well. The last half of the month can get a little dull when migration slows and the birds focus more on feeding their young than singing and displaying. This is a good time to check out sites a bit further from home and that are also a little further behind than in the valley. Manning Park, North Bend, Skagit Valley or a mountain hike is a worthwhile trip to consider taking.
