For some reason I have seen more of these birds this year than I have in a long time. This morning while walking along the dyke near Dinn's Bridge on Maria Slough, I spotted an interaction going on between two kingbirds and a FOY male Bullock's Oriole. They seemed to be disputing as to who had the right to be sitting in the top of a stream side willow. Quite a few Vaux's Swifts were skimming over the lower flying swallows as well. Another first of year (FOY) for me was the presence of at least two Swainson's Thrushes. All in all a nice spring morning.
