I had a video sent to me a couple days ago. The people who sent it were wondering what could be snagging their goldfish out of their pond in the middle of the night. They aimed their security camera at their pond and caught the culprit! The video is at the link. youtu.be/VosLdq3P69Y

My guess is that it was a Barred owl. They're known to eat fish and crayfish.

At survey job I did a Barred Owl was eating Red-legged Frogs and eating them I estimated between 30-40 breeding frogs. Barred Owls are adaptable. Denis
