Members of the Abbotsford-Mission Nature Club are reporting a great egret at Willband this morning "in the newest pond." The report said that it was then chaed off by a great blue heron. There are pictures but I can't upload them. Just passing along the information for those who are not on the mailing list for AMNC.

It must have flown in after we walked by. Thanks Ann.

Thanks for the report! I was there this morning and just walked along the northwest pond between 10 and 11 am for only about 0.5 km since it started to rain and birding with a wet 6 year old is not fun . I didn't see it but there were a male and female cinnamon teal along the shore and many Vaux swifts flying over the parking lot.

Anne, thanks for passing it along!
I wonder if it's the bird from the winter. It's nice to think it is and that it did survive the winter ok.
