Late in the day walking to the viewing platform a male and hen Cinnamon Teal jumped up from the edge of the cattails quite close to me. I took a couple more steps and this guy jumped up! I wish I had noticed them as if I didn't blunder onto them like that, they may have swam out for a photo rather than jumping up. About all I did right was manage to get my camera up in time to get a photo. This is the first time I've ever seen this hybrid. Interesting that the red eye of the Cinnamon is showing.
