The bird are moving, I had a male Calliope, small flock of Evening Grosbeaks, and three Lincoln's Sparrows today. Last week the White-crown Sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and the Purple Finch came back a white-headed Dark-eyed Junco also arrived. For any one that doze not know I live at ~360 m. elevation and above the Promontory subdivision and all of these birds leave for the winter. Denis

Denis, your place or your Mom's is the most reliable place for Calliope in the Fraser Valley that I've ever heard of. Nice that your yard is getting busy again! I saw your photo of the white headed junco on Facebook. Neat looking bird.

I have not seen it again but I'm sure it is in the Cherry trees as they usually. I never mentioned the male was nectaring on native Bleeding Heart. Two Fox Sparrows showed up the next day and another White Crown they will stay and breed in the area. Denis
