We have returned from a week exploring Tunkwa and Logan Lake. Not a lot of new birds and the ones we saw were either recently fledged or moulting.
I had these at Logan Lake and recorded them as Common Goldeneye but eBird said they were more likely to be Barrows. When I look at the slope of the forehead Barrows may be the better call.
We were told about this eagle nest on the shore of Logan Lake. The young Baldies are about to fledge.
Young Barn Swallows
Hairy Woodpecker at Tunkwa.
A Warbling Vireo in moult at Tunkwa.
This old cow Moose sort of looks like a camel. Some comments have suggested there may be a problem just above the eye.
Some ebird lists of birds seen.
