The final blog is ready. Just a quick recap. The weather was almost perfect. We had a few days of clouds and rain but the worst of it seemed to be when we were travelling. There were not a lot of birds we don't have here in BC. Shorebirds had passed through and virtually non-existent. But the experiences made up for the lack of birds. The most exciting sites for birds were the boat tours out of Witless Bay and Cape St. Marys. Thanks for watching everyone; lenanddiansadventures.blogspot.com

Len, wonderful series blog posts. You seem to have captured the best of Newfoundland well.
Love the photos of the seabirds.

Awesome! Cape St. Mary's is spectacular! We went the afternoon we arrived and it was socked in with fog. We woke up the next morning and it was crystal clear so we rushed back the 30 min drive to the site and got some great views and photos. However within an hour the wall of fog rolled in again and visibility was back to less than 50 meters! Amazing how quickly it came in and how you could see this solid wall on the distant ocean horizon that just came closer and closer..

One has to be careful where one steps if the fog gets too thick. It's a long way down
