I did as quick visit to the south Okanagan area (left home at 9am Sunday and returned 5pm Monday). I managed to find 74 species of bird and 40+ Mountain sheep, 19 deer and I bear. Bird highlights were: California Quail (lots, FOY White-throated Swift (Vaseux cliffs, FOY Calliope Hummingbird (6 at a private home, FOY Lewis's Woodpecker (4 on Long Joe rd, Anarchist Mt, FOY Say's Phoebe, (2 pairs, Road 22 Gray Catbird (lots Western Bluebird (lots, FOY Townsend's Solitaire Veery (Vaseux lake area FOY Mountain Chickadee, FOY Pygmy Nuthatch, (10, FOY Clark's Nutcracker, FOY Cassin's Vireo Nashville Warbler McGillivray's Warbler Yellow-breasted Chat (Road 22 Brewer's Sparrow (Nighthawk Rd.
