Hi guys! I saw this hummingbird yesterday and then again today. A number of things struck me as odd: 1. Very slow flight, with tail fanned out. 2. Not shy 3. It's eye looked weird I'm thinking it must be a young Anna's that is still learning how to fly. What are your thoughts?

Interesting one! Young Anna's is probably my best guess as well but looking forward to hearing from some others...

I agree with the young Anna's as well.
They can breed quite early in the spring and be a surprise to see a young bird flying around when all the other species are either still migrating or just starting to build a nest.
