Fraser Valley Birders: As per my post of last evening, here is a shot of the Victoria Tufted Duck taken yesterday, March 16th. The bird is at King's Pond which is on the border of Cedar Hill Golf Course in Victoria. It has taken me quite a while to add this bird to my B.C. list. As birders know, there is much hybiridization between Tufted Ducks, and Scaups, and the last three birds reported in this province have supposedly being hybrids. I have spent lots of time at the Cheam Wetlands, and the Seabird Island Sloughs looking for this bird, and, I am sure, one day, one will show up in a local location. In the meantime....... Cheers, Thor Thor Manson Hope, B.C.

Well done, Thor. I know you've been keen on this guy for some time. I agree, Cheam Lake with its hundreds of scaups and ring-necked ducks will have to produce some day!
